Back up this scorebook
Scores are local to this browser and this website address. Export here, then restore on the new address when the domain changes. This is a manual transfer, not live syncing.
Corrections & recovery
Undo keeps the last 20 changes from this open session. Reloading clears undo history, but not saved scores. Reset clears this browser’s pairings and scores, not other devices.
How scoring works
Gross match play. Lower completed side score wins the hole. Equal scores halve it. The match ends when the lead exceeds the remaining holes. Only a finished Cup match adds a point, or half a point per team for a tie.
Waterville: enter all four player scores. Each side’s lowest completed score is used. A picked-up ball is recorded as PU, not zero. Blank scores leave the hole pending.
Dooks, Old Head and Tralee: enter one team score per side. Old Head is a two-man scramble and counts toward the Cup. Doonbeg final: enter one score for each singles player. Both captains are playing members.
Concessions: choose the side that conceded the hole. A manual outcome overrides stroke scores until changed back to automatic calculation.
No Cup points: Lahinch and Friday’s Doonbeg practice round. They remain in the schedule only.
Captains still need to confirm
Handicaps and strokes; Dooks’ exact modified-alternate procedure; two-person scramble teams at Tralee; one point per match; and what happens if the Cup finishes level. The current 4 + 4 + 4 + 4 + 8 structure is provisional. No champion is declared automatically under an unconfirmed tie rule.
Phone and course checklist
On iPhone, open the site in Safari and use Share → Add to Home Screen. On Android, use the browser’s install or home-screen option. There is no app-store download.
An already-open scorecard can accept local changes without a network connection. A fresh page load or navigation may still need the internet. This build does not promise full offline page caching.
Before play: confirm pairings, rules and scorecard accuracy; save a backup; and test the later shared-scoring connection with two separate phones. Until then, use this as a rehearsal on one scorekeeper’s browser, not the tournament’s shared scoring system.
Private outing: do not circulate exported player data publicly. The current frontend has no scorer authentication.
